Roll the dice
and blink

alcohol makes a truly lousy substitute
but at least it's something.

Clenched teeth and
knotted fists
twisted bedsheets
and sweat sheen on pale skin
you tempt me
tease me
touch me
break me

you're steel under satin,
diamond tears.
