Moving on up
Nov. 20th, 2014 01:43 pmI have a new job! I accepted an offer from a wee cafe/bakery, Hillyers of Lincoln (in, funnily enough, Lincoln) this morning. I'm nervous as balls, but I'm really looking forward to it. I think I'll have fun there. (The other staff are also dirty minded potty mouths. I fit in wonderfully.)
This does of course mean that I've resigned at my old job, where I've been for 6 years. I don't WANT to leave, but I feel I haven't really been given a choice. A combination of bad ownership and lazy, inexperienced management has just been the death of the place, and it's a shame.
New job means a pay rise, not having to work nights(!) and getting Friday and Saturday off(!!). It's like the Hospo dream, yo.
