Poor Meerkats

A family of five meerkats was put down because there was a remote chance a girl may have gotten rabies from being bitten by one of them. The girl and her parents didn't want her to have to go through a series of rabies shots, so the animals were killed so the rabies test could be performed on them, despite the fact that they were all vaccinated.
