I'm not sure how much to read into all the things I've been hearing, but I'm becoming more and more unimpressed by Facebook.

It disturbs me that the even *police* intervention doesn't seem to be helping.
Although I do think 12 is really too young to be on the internet unsupervised. And like it says, you are meant to be over thirteen to sing up. HOWEVER, that doesn't make this guy's behaviour any more acceptable, nor does it make it okay for Facebook to ignore the problems these people are having.
