I get woken up at 3am (when I'd *just* managed to get to sleep) by my brother banging on my window asking me to open the front door.
So I get up and open aforementioned front door to find a bruised and bleeding Matt on the front door step.
Turns out while they were driving down Moorehouse Ave someone chucked a bunch of bottles at them. A half full wine bottle went through an open window, hit Matt in the face and smashed. His mate Cade also got pwned, possibly by the same bottle, possibly by a different one.
Matt had about a 3cm gash across his nose that went right down to the bone, and a maaaaassive lump above his left eye, not to mention numerous other bruises and cuts.
For some reason they decided not to go to the 24 hour docs, and came home instead.
So I pretty much took one look and marched him back out to the car. Found Cade on the way and tried to convince him to come with us since he has a cut INSIDE his lower eyelid and a huge lump below his eye, but he wouldn't.
So, an hour of waiting, an hour of driving, 20 minutes in the doctor's and 5 stitches later, I'm home.
*le sigh*
At least they keep my life interesting.
