This, like all other historical 'events' cannot be proved by the scientific method (ie hypothesis and test) because it cannot be repeated. It cannot be proved by brute logic (the premises need to be established by some other means). And if science and logic can't prove it, why do all of our textbooks cite is as a fact?"
