Days I'm ashamed to be human...

Tiny tale of suckiness:
I was at Wal-Mart yesterday puttering 'round their craft department. From behind me I hear "Shut up. No, shut the fuck up. You get on my nerves and I hate you."
*blink* Okay, so slowly I turn around to see what the heck was going on. There, trudging her way down the aisle, was a mother with her son in the cart. He was absolutely filthy, poor thing, and hadn't really said much.
Oohkay. So I turn back to the beading wire. Again from the beast (she was large. I hesitate to title people as 'beasts' because I myself am not small by any means, but she just carried herself like she was comprised of mostly butter) I hear something that just made me want to spin around and smack her:
"What are you, boy?"
"Mommy's mistake." says the child, sadly.
"And what should you have been?"
"A bill at the clinic instead."
