WTF, NZ?
So most of my Kiwi friends will probably have heard about the big cannabis bust Operation Lime.

The whole thing's annoyed me from the start, and every time I hear about it seems to be worse.
From now on, all hydroponic equipment sales are being monitered? What the hell.
"They must check every customer's photo identification and record their full name, date of birth, address, contact phone number, and ID serial number."
And TradeMe is jumping on the bandwagon, too, after banning sales of "equipment used to cultivate cannabis."
The idea of banning, monitoring or making something illegal because it might be used in an illegal activity, despite having a perfectly valid and legal use, has always bothered me greatly.
Like the whole pseudoephedrine fiasco. Argh.
As for the people who got arrested in the sting, "...face a total of 26 charges, including supplying cannabis magazine High Times and cannabis DVDs."
It's illegal to supply magazines now? Jesus.
